Director of OEM Account Management

Job Description:

The Director of OEM Account Management is responsible for managing the relationship between the OEM and/or a managed services provider (MSP; e.g. Shift Digital, Ford Direct, Internet Brands, etc…) managing a dealership program on behalf of an OEM and DealerOn.  This role will execute customer-facing program and product initiatives while supporting initiatives that improve DealerOn market share, pricing, and terms within assigned OEM(s), MSP, and key dealership customer satisfaction, and profit margin by OEM program.

This individual will contribute to the development of account strategies including messaging, positioning, services definition, pricing, and negotiation of key program terms and conditions. This individual will maintain an in-depth understanding of DealerOn products and services, as well as the latest trends in emerging media and digital channels.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides day to day management of assigned OEM relationships at a strategic level, providing direction and guidance to the DealerOn teams working with dealerships of that OEM
  • Collaborates with key departments to identify and recommend markets to pursue product and other strategies and requirements to support OEM priorities and growth of the OEM program
  • Drives an integrated account strategy including the alignment of OEM needs to DealerOn strategic priorities, unique value proposition of DealerOn within the OEM, positioning, messaging, pricing, and OEM field/channel management
  • Provides regular account communication and reporting of DealerOn performance within the various programs for assigned OEMs
  • Guides and consults internal and external stakeholders on the strategies, tactics and processes for effective marketing and communications initiatives 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years in account management, business development, product marketing and or sales
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, concurrent initiatives
  • Previous demonstrated success relative to above responsibilities and KPIs in collaborative, innovative environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Exhibits sound judgement

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in website, digital ad operations, or programmatic advertising
  • Agency experience is a plus but not required
