Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic Business Development Consultant who is comfortable on the phone and able to initiate the beginning of a business relationship with new clients. This position is responsible to prospect and generate leads in order to grow our client base. A successful candidate will bring applicable skills and experience from the sales, telemarketing or retail automotive industry. This is a great opportunity to gain inside sales experience with a premier automotive website provider. This is an entry-level position located in our Headquarters office (Rockville, MD).

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and acquire new business revenues through cold calling. Conduct 75 – 100 calls daily (this is 100% new business calling).
  • Schedule one on one or virtual product demonstration appointments for the sales team. 
  • Manage all new lead inquiries generated by our marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and ability to explain and give an overview of the company and services.
  • Develop creative strategies to draw in business and attract customers.
  • Track daily, weekly and monthly goals for calls, appointments, and deals.
  • Accountable to schedule business leads from appointment through the close of a sale.
  • Able to handle objections and rejections and move to the next task. 
  • Manage a lead customer pipeline in our CRM Database.
  • Attend training and role play sessions to enhance business performance.

Required Skills/Experience

  • High school graduate 
  • Strong prospecting experience and previous experience making a high volume of daily outbound calls
  • Be able to forge and develop relationships over the phone
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and persuasion skills
  • Results oriented
  • Pleasant phone persona
  • Be team oriented with a very positive attitude
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Self-starter

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Experience working with Salesforce
